A Voice Of Your Own is a new indie/grunge band from the Dayton, Ohio area. Drawing from a variety of different artists such as Tom Petty, The Cars, Nirvana, Beck, Interpol, The Killers, and The White Stripes.
AVOYO started as a solo project formed by producer, guitarist, and song writer James Crabtree. The band has previously released two full length LP’s “Vines On The Lines” and “Satellites” along with a collection of demos and cover songs scattered throughout various streaming platforms. A Voice Of Your Own is continuing to write new music for a third full length album. The band hasn’t set a release date for any new material yet. AVOYO currently consists of and is writing new material with James Crabtree (guitar/vocals), Johnny McConnell (bass), John Smith (guitar) and JBird Smith (drums).
