Four-piece alt-rock band Airport Impressions is one of the most successful bands to emerge off the island of Malta. Their music draws elements of rock, pop, and folk and continues to deliver songs that are incredibly melodic and emotive. The band takes inspiration from all the classic major rock acts of the last few decades including, U2, The Killers, and Mumford and Sons, to name a few. Soulful, raw vocals are supported by powerful band performances and kinetic bond between the players.
The global pandemic has changed lives for all of us no matter which part of the world we inhabit, creating unwanted social divisions between family members, friends etc. I feel “Light Years” is a good reminder that no matter how far apart we are, we can still keep our best moments together in life… applying the advice received or viewpoints shared. It also depicts a lot how I personally look at the main journey, i.e. “hungry little soul… for a little piece of everything”, meaning always aiming to improve/better what I already have.
