The Auduo is a Sibling Duo from India. We recently shared their track A Night In Paris and they have dropped in for a chat and to tell us more about themselves.
How did you get started, and what has led up to where you are today as an artist?
We were involved in singing and songwriting since our childhood but became more professionally active in 2020. We initially started sharing our music with our friends and family, which in no time, led to us hitting a milestone of 1k monthly listeners on Spotify. Our music has been appreciated worldwide through getting featured on multiple playlist and the Rolling Stone India. We got to work with artists from different parts pf the world. We got to learn music production and music marketing through this journey and we look forward to so much more.
Who do you feel has influenced you the most as an artist?
Our own talent influenced us to share the gift with the world. 2020 gave us the time to pursue music as a professional artist.
What do you feel sets you apart from other artists and gives you your own sound?
Our forte is being multi genre. Since we grew up listening to different music styles we were encouraged to become a multi genre artist and experimenting by blending different genres and cultures. We brought in our Indian roots and merged them with the modern western music. Our vocal styles also involve a fusion of y2k with the modern.
What has been your biggest challenge and what do you feel you have learned from it?
Our biggest challenge has been, to be truly independent and handle all the aspects. Learning on the go has taught and has encouraged us to be persistent with our work. This has helped us grow our music base.
Tell us about your latest project, what have you got going on at the moment?
We recently released our debut album “Saga City” (17th August,2021) and our first collaboration EP – “Parisian Nights” (25th September, 2021) with a New York based music producer, LoSchu.
Saga City- The album Saga City, exhibits a chain of events that are all about love (all its phases) and power and its manifestation. The name of the album was picked out to symbolise the impassioned mood of the songs. The intensity of the music had to be represented by a significant and very powerful word and SAGA fits ours best!
Parisian Nights- Parisian Nights is an EP collaboration with a New York based Music Producer – LoSchu. We would be working on collaboration projects for the rest of 2021, this is an amazing start for that vision. This album speaks “French in English” and talks about a very lush experience in the city of love!
What advice would you give to anyone new coming into the industry?
We would suggest to “Do Your Research”, being knowledgeable about what you’re getting into helps you to distinguish the facts from falsehood. Talk to the people who are already in the industry to gain an insight of how everything works. The information they share would help you avoid the mistakes and direct yourself to the correct path. Choose whatever you feel is best for you whether it is being an independent artist or working with a record label.
