Hybrid Spirits are an unsigned British band based in Birmingham and Pontefract UK. Their music is a fantastic example of what can happen when different people with different interests, ideas, tastes, experiences, backgrounds and influences work together. Their “style” of music can’t be pigeon-holed, hence the very apt name ‘Hybrid Spirits’.
Their individual and eclectic music tastes mean that you (or they!) never know what they’ll create next, and there is something for (almost!) everybody. To date, their music releases range from Ambient to Alternative, from Electronic to Rock, from Light to Dark.
This is about a different perspective of what a “God” represents. His or her followers worship, adore and follow without question; like slaves unable to think for themselves, looking to a deity for answers, guidance and to save them from whatever life brings. The answer to wars, poverty and loss.
But when their God is most needed they are not there, we are alone. Taken from our new EP “The Forgotten” This new EP features 5 songs, with influences such as Numan, Depeche Mode, NIN, The Cure.. amongst others. Featuring an atmospheric mixture of styles, including Electronic, Industrial, 80’s electronic, Goth and New Wave.
