Loops & Loops picked up last year during the midst of the quarantine. Although Pete Bogolub, who writes & records all of the music, had been making music for quite some time, the quarantine became a time of massive music productivity. Having previously released two albums and a few singles under the name the sems, Pete began to self-release music through YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, and Distrokid.
At first, due to limitations of access to musical equipment, Pete released several lofi/indie albums. The newer material, with a new album called ‘Fake Face’ came out June 7th, harkens back to indie roots of bands such as Yo La Tengo and The Magnetic fields with a touch of modern notes from bands like Lord Huron.
Doubts is a blend of 90’s indie rock a la sebadoh with notes of 80’s new wave to create a modern indie bedroom pop track. The song deals with the theme of self doubt. All instruments played, recorded, and mixed by Pete Bogolub. The song was mastered by Jeff Zeigler. Artwork by Raeann Fetcho.
