Megawave Releases New Track ‘Slow Motion’ ft Chris Songco

Since their formation in 2015, Megawave has previously shared the stage with national acts including I Fight Dragons, MC Lars, Slingshot Dakota, Creed Bratton from the Office, as well as being featured on Punk Island, the TCS NYC Marathon, The Alternative’s Streaming Sundays on YouTube, Staten Island Pridefest, and Newark Comic Con. On their livestream, Megawednesday, they’ve had a variety of special guests including Tape Girl’s first performance, Necter, Mint Green, Jhariah, Cryptodira and more.

They were featured on AMH Compilation Volume 1 with John Nolan of Taking Back Sunday, Jade Lillitri of Oso Oso, Ryan Cassata and more, Ska Punk International’s Songs for Moms Volume 1 including Half Past Two, Catbite, and Eichlers, as well as Beautiful Rat Records We’ll Carry On, My Chemical Romance Tribute Compilation with Hoity Toity, The Weakdays and others.

New York based rock trio Megawave are announcing the release of their dream pop tribute to the late bloomers, grown up gifted children on November 3, 2021. The “Slow Motion” music video featuring Chris Songco will premiere on Megawednesday livestream on Twitch on November 3rd, 2021 at 8pm EST.

The love song, with influences ranging from 90s rock to Childish Gambino, is from their upcoming genre- bending album Rainbow Heartache on all streaming platforms on Friday, December 3, 2021. Limited edition cassettes will be released on Broken Camera Records. Fellow Twitch streamer, Songco’s guest verse is one of many guest collaborations on the album.
