Spaces is a Psychedelic Rock group based out of Ambler, PA. The band is made up of three longtime friends, Jason Dooney (vocals, guitar, synth), Matt McGough (guitars, synth) and Ian Ambron (drums, percussion).
Spaces’ sound can be described as “psychedelic post rock” and “dark feel good” music. The group draws inspiration from Grizzly Bear, Tortoise, Radiohead, Kikagaku Moyo, Minus the Bear, Boris, CAN and Broken Social Scene. They are a talented and creative group that have garnered a devoted following due to their unique musical style and innovative approach to making music.
Their latest track “Ex Nihilo” began streaming in mid-December and is a hazy melody driven by a samba-esque rhythm. Be sure to check these guys out!
